Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain
Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(b) On January 8, 2021, Herbert A. Lurie formally announced his decision to resign from the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida (“Seacoast” or the “Company”), effective January 11, 2021. Mr. Lurie was appointed to the Board in 2016, and was a member of the Board’s Strategy & Innovation Committee at the time of his resignation. The Company is grateful to Mr. Lurie for the expert advice and counsel he provided the Board and management team over many years and his valued service as a member of the Board.
