Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On February 21, 2019, the Company issued a press release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.07 per share on the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock. The dividend is payable April 1, 2019 to shareholders of record on March 15, 2019. The press release has been attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

 

Also on February 21, 2019, the Company’s Board of Directors declared that the Company’s annual meeting of shareholders will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

Merchants Bancorp Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend

For Release February 21, 2019

 

CARMEL, Indiana — Merchants Bancorp (“Merchants”) (Nasdaq: MBIN), parent company and registered bank holding company of Merchants Bank of Indiana (“Merchants Bank”), today announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend for the first quarter of 2019 of $0.07 per share on the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock, a 17% increase compared with the fourth quarter of 2018.  The dividend is payable April 1, 2019, to shareholders of record on March 15, 2019.
