Item 8.01. Other Events.

New Jersey Resources Corporation (“NJR”) has appointed Broadridge Corporate Issuer Solutions, Inc. (“Broadridge”) as its new transfer agent and registrar for the shares of NJR’s common stock, as well as the administrator of NJR’s Direct Stock Purchase and Dividend Reinvestment Plan, effective as of August 17, 2018. All of NJR’s registered shares of common stock and related records have been transferred to Broadridge.

A form of NJR’s letter to shareowners sent on or about August 17, 2018, is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
